What is Landscape?

It is an arrangement of the SAP servers in a company and there are three main types of the landscape of any company and those are; Development Server, Quality Server, and Production Server.
DEVELOPMENT SERVER
The development server is comprised of; Sandbox Client, Golden Client, and Unit Testing Client. Sandbox client is a distant trial where roughly coding is being practiced whereas in golden client real-time activities are being performed and at the unit testing very basic level of testing takes place.
QUALITY SERVER
All the development codes are put into the quality server and it contains two types of clients; Integration Testing Client and Training Client. In integration testing client all the codes are put for testing which is done in a very thorough manner and then it is sent for doing the confirmation.
PRODUCTION SERVER
Once the confirmation is done it shows up to the last step which is the production server where the user will finally start working once the project goes live. The request for any change or development is transported to the production.
Types of Landscapes
As per the different requirements of different companies landscape architecture is differentiated into three parts; 3 Landscapes (Default), 4 Landscapes (Very Big Companies) and 2 Landscapes (Small Companies).
