R is a programming language and software environment for graphical representation, statistical analysis, and reporting. It initiated by Ross Ihaka and Robert Gentleman at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and is currently being developed by the Development Core Team.
Root R is a computer-translated language that allows loading and looping as well as modern programming using functions. R allows connection with the methods written in C, C ++, .Net, Python or FORTRAN for efficient operation.
R is available under the GNU General License, and binary versions are offered for different operating systems such as Linux, Windows, and Mac.
R is a software package distributed under the GNU-left copy, and a subset of the GNU service called GNU S.

Evolution of R- R was originally written by Ross Ihaka and Robert Gentleman at the Statistics Department at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. R first appeared in 1993.
A large group of individuals contributed to R by sending code and error messages. Since mid-1997 there has been a core group (the "R Core Team") that can modify the R source archive.
